Hi
We are travelling to Ubon Ratchathani and on to laos in 2 weeks time. Is this area badly affected by the floods, and is this making travel across the border to Laos difficult?

No problem over there. Ubon and the Chong Mek border are far from the currently affected area.

P.S. Last year about this time the Chi and Mun rivers which converge near Ubon did overflow and cause a lot of flooding. So far seems alright but in two weeks you'll want to check again. Who knows?

By and large the Korat plateau hasn't been too bad. We were pretty saturated about four weeks ago, but at that time the rains here really began to taper off, and the last week it hasn't rained at all.
