Help with Similan Islands and surrounding areas

    Hi Guys,

    I am flying into Phuket on December 5th & I have 10 days until I fly out. I am going on a trip to the Similan Islands from 8th-12th (leaving from khao Lak) so basically I will have 3 days either side of this trip to chill out & explore a little bit.

    Please can you suggest where Is do-able in this short amount of time? I am not interested in staying in Phuket, I would like somewhere layed back & pleasing on the eye.... Any great beaches you can reccomend? I would just like to chill out, snorkle & go with the flow.

    Why not stay in Khao Lak? There is plenty to do there and the beaches are nice.
    Not sure where else you could go in that time span,as it will take a full day to get anywhere else other than Phuket.
