Hi, on our way from Bangkok to Koh Mak, we stayed in Laem Ngop overnight. We stayed at the Sulada Guesthouse (http://www.kohchangtourco.com/page/page/4440824.htm). Very friendly and helpful owners. A good restaurant is next door, and the pier to Koh Mak is in walking distance.
I didn't find a review on this site, so I decided to post mine here in this forum.
