Hi there, I have been googling but have Not really found reliable information. I will arrivier at Surat Airport at 3.30 pm and want to head directly towards Khao Sok. What is the cheapest and direct way to get there? We will be two adults and one 6year old... And how long will it approximately take?

Great! Thanks to my editing function I am now actually traveling to Khao SOKRATES ???? Khao Sok that is....

If you were arriving earlier, I'd say get to the bus station in Surat Thani and get a regular bus to Takua Pa -- it runs straight past the park entrance. Otherwise travel agents in Surat Thani will be able to put you on a direct tourist minibus.
But, you won't be in town till probably at least 5pm (the airport is around 30km from town from memory) and that is too late for the govt bus ... so your best bet will be a tourist minibus if one departs that late.
If there isn't one, you'll need to overnight in Surat Thani town and get the first Govt bus to the park (departs Surat 7am).
Trip time is 1.5-2 hours depending on number of stops etc.
