Are any vaccinations a neccessity for travelling in Thailand?

If you are keeping to the main tourist trail, then probably not. Except maybe Hep A is worth considering.

Hep A, tetanus, and typhoid. Take some Cipro with you in case you get a stomach bug and some Xanax for the plane ride.

yes,Hep A & B, tetanus, and typhoid. You can buy cipro over the counter, as well as Activated Charcoal Capsules in Thailand. I also take Pro-biotics.
