    Hi there,

my friend and I are doing thailand, cambodia and Laos in a tour in june/july this year however we're going to be going to bangkok (where we start) a few days before the tour begins. During the tour, in bangkok we will be visiting the Grand Palace and Emerald Buddha, doing a boat trip along the canals and going to Wat Po.

I am just wondering what other things there are to do in Bangkok for when we arrive? I'm interested in cycling around, getting off the 'beaten track' a bit but i'm unsure where to start. Also i'd love to know of any great places for food that people could recommend?

Any advice would be much appreciated!
