There are so many options, many with no website. If you stay on Chaweng beach, head south on beach road. There are many room options on the right down the small sois. You will see the signs for rooms. This is the busiest most touristy road, but certain parts of the beach are less busy than others. High season has ended but there will still be plenty of folks around.
Lamai beach town is a little more Adult male centered at night, but the beach is long and not bad.
The north areas like Bophut are more laid back.......

I'm heading to Koh Samui tomorrow. Not sure where to stay. I want to be close to the beach or on the beach. Any suggestions would be great.

Depends on your budget but I like either Ark Bar or Chaweng Beach resort
