Hey all. I'm currently in Bangkok and was planning to head northwards toward Chiang Mai, Chiang Rai, and into Laos. However, I've been reading about how the air quality has been worse than ever due to the burning of the fields, and I'm seeing posts recommending that travellers stay away.

I'm looking for any updates from people currently in northern Thailand. Is the situation horrible or are there any improvements to the air quality? Should I just head for the islands instead and chillax on the beach?
