Ive read the pages on the weather here http://www.travelfish.org/weather/thailand/september
Just wondered if anyone can share any personal experiences? Ie will the "rainy days" just be days where it may rain for a couple of hours then be sunny/dry?
Also as we will be transitting through BKK- i note that this area has some heavy rain in September does it cause major problems for rail/road travel?
How about visits to the floating market? would those be affected in heavy rainfall?

KPG tends to be one of the better places to be in a normal September - that area's wet season is different - tends to be October into January. Certainly my September visits have had mainly sunshine along with the occasional good storm.
Bangkok should be well into its normal wet season but unless they have a real freak one like last year conditions are usually okay for to do the usual touristy things.

As tezza says, September is fine on KPG, as the rain doesn't normally really hit until late October.
