    Recommendations on air travel from Thailand to China for the Great Wall?

    I am planning on traveling 3 weeks in South East Asia then heading from Thailand (which city affordable & travel savvy?) to Shanghai, China. Please help me.

    To China depart from Bangkok, always the cheapest. Direct flight to Shanghai possible, may find a cheaper flight with a lay-over in Hong Kong, depends on the airline really. If you want to see the Great Wall you don't fly to Shanghai, you go to Beijing or westward of there.
