Hi,

I will be at Mae Sai during June and need advise if there are any buses from Mae Sai to Chiang Khong , and what is the timing/ frequency/ price.
It seems that alot of information are from CM or CR to Chiang Khong, which will take another 1.5 hours and more to get to Chiang Khong
Many thanks in advance!

I would be taking a bus from Mae Sai to Chiang Rai and then on to Chiang Khong. I would not be going back to Chiang Mai and then taking the overnight minibus to Chiang Khong. I've only done the minibus from Chiang Mai to Chiang Khong. The cost is irrelevant as it is the cheapest form of transport. Timetables change (sometimes) so find out when you get there (most accom. places are able to tell you).
