Hi I want to puchase a Nintendo DS Lite for Junior.
Should I buy it here in Aus before I leave, or is it worthwile waiting till I get to Phuket.
Will the Nintendo warranty stand if I buy in Phuket ?

I think that you will find international brands will be roughly the same price no matter the country. also think of your power point plugs and maybe check with a retailer in australia as to if they come with a local or international warranty, some brands require you to take it back to the retailer.
i would get it here is Aus, just to be safe.

buy it in australia.
You can get them on ebay for $150 or from Ebgames for around $180
I just came back from Thailand and found that pretty much all electrical equipment is more expensive than Australia
