As I understand it, the "special express" train from BKK to Chiang Mai is equipped with a disco carriage that seems like it will certainly make the trip a bit more exciting. Is this a norm on all Thai overnight express trains? Or is this special to the BKKChiang Mai line?

no-and its not even the ''norm''there-maybe some special crowdpuller.But the cars shake and roll like a dance anyway and the noise from the unkempt rails and open cars is also more deafening as most overloud beatbands can produce.
