Muslim city without the charm of some others.
That might come as a surprise to the large Chinese and Indian population there. Get out to Templar park and enjoy the waterfalls.

Indians are annoying and Chinese ho hum. Chinese are all over the world and there's nothing special about them. But KL is a business city and it's rather bland. Singapore is a business city but it has a lot more interesting things going on.
If I only had a week in Malaysia - based on my experience - I'd knock a day or 2 or 3 off of KL and visit either Malacca, The Cameron Highlands or Penang. All 3 are easily reached by bus and I found all 3 more enjoyable than KL.
I agree with the above post that KL can be a bit bland but if you have never been there before then maybe keep it open. Book your first night in KL and if you like it then stay; if not then move on.

Put it in the Malaysia forum and an expert on that country will come back to you.

I hated KL. I'd only spend 1 night there. Boring busy city.

KL has gotten a lot of bad reviews. Never been there myself, so I can't say why that is so. Normally large cities are cosmopolitan, fun places.
