Hello, I will be in Krabi with my boyfriend in January, and we are planning to stay 4 days on Phi Phi and 3 days on Railay beach. Do you have any advices on where to stay in Railay? I have no idea if we should stay on Railay beach or if it's also good to stay at Ao Nang. We want a great beach location and some nightilife, but nothing crazy. Any suggestion would be greatly appreciated. For Phi Phi, I was looking into a good location but not too expensive. Has anyone been to the Andaman Beach Resort or can recommend any other place? Thanks!

there is a review from travelfish: http://www.travelfish.org/accommodation_profile/thailand/southern_thailand/krabi/ko_phi_phi/all/1051
it is quite pricey but this of course depends on what you expect..
Railay someone else has to answer..

Stay At Ao Nang and then just take longtail boat to Railay ,boat can serve at night and it's take 10-15 mins.
For Phi Phi stay at Loh Dalam bay there is a good beach , you can walk from Ton Sai village in 5 mins.
Enjoy Phi Phi

This story on our favourite places to stay there might be helpful -- especially the first part that focuses on the budget end of the scene.
