    Hi

I am visiting Koh Phayam near Ranong close to the Burmese border in December.

Is this area a high risk for malaria due to its closeness to Burma?

Do i need to take anti malaria drugs?

I realise for other parts of Thailand its fine but i am unsure about here!

A definitive opinion would be appreciated

    Thanks a million

Not really definitive - but: I've stayed on Phayam and adjacent little Ko Chang maybe a half dozen times and never had anti-malarials.
As a matter of fact I've never used them after my very first visit to Thailand - done a few dozen since.
