Hello!
I'm teaching ESL in a small town outside of Bangkok and I'm hoping to go to Koh Chang for an upcoming 3-day weekend. From what I've been able to gather so far, it seems like all the buses leave from Ekamai early in the day. I don't want to waste almost a whole day getting to Koh Chang, so I'm curious if anyone knows any companies that run buses in the evening to the ferry pier at Laem Ngop?
Thanks!

When the public bus comanies' website had an English version it showed a bus leaving Ekkamai, the eastern bus terminal at 2300. Seeing you work in LOS you may have no problems with the Thai scipt.
This bus did not go to the pier but into Trat bus station. Gets there sometime between 0400 and 0500 - you would have to hang around the bus station or go down to an all night cafe in town until the songthaews start running to the piers.
Could be a late bus or minibus from the airport these days to cater for people flying in from overseas etc - but I'm not sure where you would find the info. Airport website?

no-thats it, and its in fact 2 buses-both Ekamai and Mochit. Nothing else-in fact it does not make that much sense to have a bus to a ferry that wont be running, nah/ BUSes to Trat-choice of mini, the odd remaining 2nc cl-by the 99 comp and also VIP/1st cl run hourly -those buses str8 to ferry are just a new innovation. Now also very pricey direct minivans by day via ferry onto island.
Anyway: if you teach, you should have discovered long, long ago that if there is no direct, a change can do the trick, nah?
