Not a good day for sightseeing in Dusit (aka Royal Plaza). Some nice billowing clouds of tear gas in this video.
At this point, so long as you steer clear of the Dusit park area you will most likely have no idea the rally is going on. Judging by that video, it appears the police are serious about containing things this time around. I'll report back if the protests escalate / spread to other parts of town.
oh great- now we get again 100000s of anxious people asking again if that airport will be taken hostage or what will happen-if they would even bother to tell what their plans are/were. And of course all those westerners come from countries like GR, PT, ES where there are never angry protests from the working class masses who think the savings regime should be passed on to the rich
This made the headlines even here in sleepy southern Utah. Loved the video of people cutting their way through the razor wire while the police just watched. Thanks for keeping us posted in case this spreads to other areas of the city. Cheers.
