Hi we are lucky enough to be spending christmas with my daughter in Koh Tao. We have booked our holiday with Rickshaw travel and left it to them to arrange all our flights ferries etc as this is our first trip to Thailand and we are 'mature travellers'. My daughter has just asked why we are not coming direct from Chumpon? We have asked Rickshaw the same question but not had an answer as yet, just interested to hear if anyone has any thoughts on why they would have booked this route for us? We are catching the Lomprayah high speed ferry from Koh Phangan to Koh Tao but not sure which boat from Surat Thani. Just hope the timings all work ok as we are arriving in Koh Tao on xmas eve so not much room for errors. Really looking forward to it
Thanks

you can book directly with http://www.lomprayah.com/
Koh Tao will close to Chumpon , so bus+ferry will take you to Koh Tao if this will be your first destinations.
Or http://www.airasia.com/th/en/home.page you can buy combo ticket bus+boat to Samui and then take boat to Koh Phangan and longtrail boat or speedboat to Koh Tao.
