Thailand in LATE October - Phuket or Koh Samui, Bangkok, Chiang Mai

  • mck28

I've read online that the rainy season begins in October. Would Phuket or Koh Samui get any sun? Are they pretty much the same in late October? And will Bangkok and Chiang Mai get a lot of rain also?

    Thanks in advance.

    Hi mck28,

You can compare weather at Samui Vs Phuket, Chiang Mai and Bangkok with our weather map, which you can see here:Weather map for Thailand.

Of the places you list, Chiang Mai will have the least rain, but all will be getting a fair ammount. Worth noting that even in the height of wet season, torrential all-day rain is rare, rather you should expect heavy downfalls for an hour or so, most days. In between you'll get lots of sun and clear skies.
