I discovered that the sea between Phayam and Chang noi is illegally fished empty by 7 fishingships from the south ( so not locals) They get up to 200m. from the beaches, which in itself is already illegal (should be 3km.) The resortowners told me that the local police is paid to look the other way. I wrote a mail to the director of T.A.T., asking to take steps, andnpromised to put a demand in this sens on Travelfish as well. So, please to all of you who might read this, mail a complaint to the CEO of T.A.T, in order to put pressure. The complaints of the locals are not responded to, maybe farang complaints might help. These muslim fishermen from the south are emptying the sea here and damage the coral in doing so.
