I'm planning a trip to Thailand arriving at BKK on 27th Dec. So far we have booked a couple of nights accommodation in BKK and then we plan to take an overnight train so that we can be in Koh Tao sometime the next day. We have then booked 4 nights so we can spend NYE in Koh Tao.
From there we want to move on but are not entirely sure what the best course of action may be. We are spending NYE with friends in Koh Tao hence going there first.
Ideally we'd like to visit an elephant sanctuary, some temples and maybe some countryside. We would also like to go to Laos or Vietnam too, but we have read so much about people trying to cram too much into 3 weeks and don't want to make the same mistake.
Any help would be much appreciated.
Dan
PS: we will be spending at least the last night in BKK but potentially the last two.
