im travelling from Vietnam through Cambodia and then into Thailand in a few weeks time. I will only in Thailand for 17 days on my current itinerary. I know the visa is for 15 days but read somewhere I just pay a fine at the airport for overstaying, which is around 400 baht. I just dont want to waste time going to a immigration office. can anyone confirm if this is true.

Overstay is 500 baht per day -- which will be cheaper than extending your visa.
