Hello!
A friend and I are looking at the cost of storing excess stuff we have (like gifts) in Bangkok vs. shipping it home to the united states. We're flying to Indonesia and then home and don't want to pay for checking the baggage or drag it around for the next month and a half. We've heard of freight shipping, but is that cheaper than keeping it at a storage locker at a hotel or self storage? We're looking at keeping it in storage for about 6 weeks. Any info would be appreciated since websites and forum posts haven't provided specific pricing. It's about20 kg of stuff.

1.why store here in BKK if you do not come back here ex Indo?
2.about any HTL here will do storage-prices relate to their own pricing of rooms- around the cheap KSR its 10/20 bt/day
3.google for those international frieghters (as its too heavy for post-office-unless divide it up into smaller parcels) like DHL, TNT etc- the post office also works with 1 of them. price depends not just on weight, but also on SIZE, speed of transit (forget sea- but there is cheaper ''when space is there'' on planes now) and also the help/assistance they may give at US end-for customs., taxes etc. This is nearly always cheaper as overweight on planes.
But now some logic thinking (are USAers still able to?): send it at end of TH-stay-and do not even pay storage! To some trusted adress back homey.
If you want to know every satang worth- go to thaivisa forum- you'll find endless meanderings about any thing farang take care of.
