    Hello all,

I've done Cambodia, Laos, Vietnam and the Thai islands before.

I'm heading over to Indonesia for 2 weeks then meeting a friend to do Thailand again for 2.5 weeks.

He wants to do the islands and northern thailand so working from Koh Tao down to Koh Lanta/Koh Phi Phi. After that, we are hoping to go up to Chiang Mai . What's the fastest/easiest or cheapest way to get to Chiang Mai from Phuket or Krabi?

    Thanks for the help.

The fastest and the easiest way is going by plane, there is an international airport in Chiang Mai. The cheapest way is to go by bus, but you should go via Bangkok from Phuket and Krabi and it takes a lot of time. It is better to go by state VIP buses, they are reasonable comfortable and reliable. Do not forget to take some warm clothes as air cons in buses work at full and it is cool.
