Extending 60 day visa further 30
23rd October, 2013
My husband and I have tourist visa for 60 days, we want to extend a further 30 and I read on the forum that it's possible without leaving and returning to Thailand, can someone tell me where we go to get this extension. Any help would be appreciated.

You can go to the Thai immigration office in BK or Chiang Mai - And I think there's even one in Krabi and Phuket? You can look up the address online
I was also told yesterday at the thai consulate that I could extend my 60 day visa as soon as I arrive in BKK at the airport - but that's the first I heard of that - I always thought you had to wait until near the end of the visa?

"I read on the forum that it's possible without leaving and returning to Thailand"
In fact you must not leave Thailand as this would render your visa expired.
You can do the 30-day extension at ANY immigration office nationwide.
See list of locations here. Click the "Checkpoints" tab at the top of the page.
Cost is 1900 baht. Completed form TM.7 plus one photo.
