    Hey -

Going to fly into BKK but hoping to catch a quick flight down to Surat Thani or Phuket. Wondering if anyone has experience and knows which of these is going to be the cheapest to fly into and then get over to Khao Sok National Park most conveniently

    Thanks.

Air Asia, Bangkok Airways, Thai Airways and Nok Air are the providers I can think of that may provide cheapest flight. Have to check each one for your dates as they are likely fairly close in price and will probably depend more on dates.

Alternatively could take night train or bus to Surat Thani, which wouldn't be that bad in a pinch(depending when you are travelling and flight availability) and would save a few bucks.

Buses are widely available either direction until mid afternoon so that isn't an issue.

AA and Nok are cheaper by far. Surat would be cheaper than phuket.

    Hi,

Another option would be Happy air from Suvarnabhumi to Ranong and bus it south from there.

    Happy trails!

Thanks all. May look into a train to Surat Thani then if I can get an overnight - do love train travel, but haven't decided if we'll hit Myanmar as well so thought a flight may save a little time.
