We are considering this hike and wondering if anyone has done this and if its good or not... Guide or ok to do on your own?

My wife and I did the Tab Kak Hang Nak Hill Nature Trail in June this year. It takes much longer and is more arduous than its 3.7 km distance (each way so 7.4 km) would suggest. Much of the trail is cut through dense vegetation and there is little opportunity for views of the surrounding countryside apart from one viewpoint and at the summit. There is some scrambling over rocks and tree roots involved and it is quite physical, especially given the heat and humidity, take plenty of drinking water along. A guide is not necessary, the trail is fairly well marked.
If you enjoy the physical challenge of jungle trekking it could be rewarding, if you are expecting to see great views of Krabi and the ocean while on a gentle walk it could be disappointing!
