I know this is a reach as the game starts at 6:30 am Monday Feb. 3rd but what is the likelihood there'll be anyplace showing it on Ko Yao Noi ? Wouldn't you know it my team makes it to the Super Bowl and I'm in Thailand. No big deal if I can't see it because...heck I'll be on Ko Yao Noi !

Can't help you with specifics but a few years back I was able to watch it in Chiang Mai with ease.

Doubt it. Ao Nang sports bars show this type of stuff.

I suspect I'll be out of luck unless there's an American run guesthouse somewhere on the island who's owner's are into it. It's Denver vs. Seattle btw.

Thanks for the suggestion but given that I will have just arrived in Thailand and Ko Yao Noi the evening before I'm not too keen on traveling across the bay to catch the game that early in the morning.

Of course the flash places like Six Senses will have cable but if you are like me, an overpriced room for a night to watch football aint justified.

Just a thought. One of my Noi visits I spent a couple of pleasant late afternoon hours in a sports type bar on the coast road just north of Sabai Corner and south of Holiday Resort. This joint was a meeting place for expats, quite a few of them resort owner/managers, from around the island and had the usual tv showing their type of shows. Maybe 0630 is a bit early but the local cable channels could possibly show replays at more viewer-friendly hours. Might be worth a pass by after you arrive to ask what's going on.

Cable is no guarantee. Depends what channels they bought.

Best bet is a sports bar.

If flying into Phuket watch it there

Whats so special about ko yao? Quiet island with not much

At six in the morning here it's so cold out right now I'll feel like I'm at a live game in Foxborough. Man, I hate the cold. The Pats didn't make it, so screw it. I can't stand Payton Manning.

Stay cool (he he he) Mac. Never cold on good ol' Yao Noi.

Um, there you have it, Lenny - it's a QUIET island which is exactly what many people are searching for. Don't get too many quiet islands within 30km of Thailand's second busiest airports.

Could add a lot more Yao Noi positives and some negatives, but time is precious in chez tezza's cheap aussie red hour (or two).

Thanks for the recommendation Tezza...I'll search that place out.

Leonard as Tezza said "Whats so special about ko yao? Quiet island with not much" - precisely

Madmac I'm a Denver dude. Too bad about your Pats and we can't stand Brady out this way. Looks like I missed out on a good wager last week.

Thanks again for the input guys.
