We have a stopover in Koh Samui for one night before transferring on to Koh Tao. We fly in pretty late at night from China (via Bangkok) - and will be taking the ferry to Koh Tao the next day. We therefore don't need nice beaches or even pools. But a nice room, that we don't have to travel too far to get to, with a comfy bed and a good breakfast would be in order! Can anyone help? Ideally not more than $80.
Red House on Bophut is a good spot -- halfway between the airport and the Ko Tao ferry, classy Shanghai chic style shopfront accommodation... there's no beach to speak of, but it's in the fisherman's village so a good selection of eateries and bars where you can relax after your flights, then grab breakfast ans head for the ferry.
Given you're coming from China, be just like home ;-)
