Hi there!
Myself and my boyfriend are in the process of planning our summer;
60 days (start of July 06 until September 06) in
Southeast Asia. I've bought my flight tickets, but
thats about it really...
I was wondering if anyone has any advice on
which route would be good to take and cheap ways
to travel?
We're flying to Bangkok, heading towards Singapore,
via Surat Thani, but thats about all I know so far...
then possibly on to Bali / Lombok, and Borneo, or
possibly the Phillipines...
We're both interested in beaches and diving, would
very much like to see some weird and scary wildlife,
and hopefully fit in some partying and some quiet
island time too, with a budget of around £2000 each.
I haven't travelled this area before, and to be honest,
I don't know where to start with regards to planning
a route. Any wisdom would be much appreciated, thanks
for reading.

Hi catisfaction,
Welcome to Travelfish!
Well, you're asking about countries that we don't cover, but I've been to some of the places you mention -- in Peninsular Malaysia, look into the Perhentians on the east coast -- the diving and snorkelling ther is excellent -- when we were there we snorkelled with packs of turtles swimming and munching between the two islands -- it was amazing. Then you've got Taman Negara NP not far from there. Further afield, I'd go with Lombok over Bali.
Perhaps others better travveled in the countries you mention will have suggestions.
