My husband and I are traveling to Thailand in early June to celebrate our 5 yr anniv. We were originally planning to go the Andaman Sea (Ngai or Muk - Sivalai Resort), but are concern about the weather. Should we go to the gulf instead (Tao?)? We only have a week and are looking for something relaxing with good snorkeling and maybe some hiking, and not overly built up like Samui. We liked the idea of being able to go to other islands like Ko Rok, etc. in the Andaman.
What should we do? Any thoughts/suggestions would be great. Thanks!

If you are after good snorkelling head over to the West side. The water in the Gulf can be very silty. You should go there for that reason alone, the weather may be bad on both sides but the water will still be clear on the West side and cloudy on the East side.

Thanks...we'll go to the west side then. Is Ngai or Muk a better choice?
