Did 3 nights at Twin Towers last month (April). Very much a package tour place (formerly one of the Sol hotels who I know were huge in Spain years ago), and not absolutely ideally located - it's a lot further from Siam Square than they'd advertise. A typical BKK hotel in many ways - vast, shimmering lobby with an awful lot of staff, but the quality declines a bit once you get to the rooms. Room was, to be fair, very large and clean, even if the aircon sounding like a lawnmower. Breakfast decent enough (nice poolside restaurant) and polite staff. Nice if modest-sized pool.
Considering the price, we thought this was good value for money. Had to get a bit angry at check-in as they refused us the room type we booked, but that was the only issue, really.
Be aware of the tuk-tuk drivers outside - they all want to take you to a shop before your destination. A few minutes walk up to the main road and a short bus ride will take you to MBK centre. There's a Tesco Lotus nearby as well.

thanks
I think I might still consider it since its kind of close to the rail way and I will only be staying 2 nights at the most.
It seems super hard to find a hotel after reading a bunch of rewies and realizing you have to be careful with what you think you are getting or what is advertised.
But I dont mind walking for 15 minutes- do you think I can reach something interesting within a 15 minute walk?
I will be staying in bkk again on my way back from some islands ..any better suggestions?

Hi Lecker,
I'd not heard of this hotel - do you have an address for it and I'll get it checked out for Travelfish.
Tks
