Hi, I'm arriving in Bangkok at around 9am. I'm meeting some friends in Pattaya and was told it was best to head straight there from the airport. I've been to Bangkok numerous time but never ventured to Pattaya. Can anyone recommend some options with their prices? Thanks.

Eric, if you still need some info.

Travel Bell (0894498843) at the airport, is the
bus company you want.

It's downstairs one floor, and the girl in uniform
with the clipboard is the bus rep. 175 baht,
i think, and it's 1 1/2 hours to Pattaya.

I would think it's fairly regular - every 2 hours.

But that's a guess. 'Bell Travel' buses that run
to the airport from Pattaya are many. So it's
reasonable they would return.

One post reads:

'... bus from airport to Pattaya, and the schedule
is 8am,10am,12pm,2pm,4pm,6pm.'

However another post conflicts. And both are dated.

I'll call tomorrow.

Okay, Eric, here it is.

Phone: 0816204703 (contact no. at the airport)

Schedule above is correct:

'... bus from airport to Pattaya, and the
schedule is 8am,10am,12pm,2pm,4pm,6pm.'

cost: 150 baht

Directions:
LEVEL 1 (downstairs) DOOR 7 (they're revolving
doors, and the numbers are written above. There's
no booth. You'll be looking for a Bell Travel rep.
with a clipboard, only.)

If interesting to you, bus times FROM Pattaya
TO the airport start at 6am, then 9am, 11am,
1pm, etc, with the last bus at 7pm.

If you are not "farang kii-nok" then get a taxi for convenience.

Available any time
the fare is about 1300 door to door.

Agree price before you set off (including tolls - about 100 baht)

journey time is between 1.5 and 2 hrs...you can stop on the way etc.

In short , you don't.......you can't fly from Pattaya to Koh Chang....you will probably have to go to Pattaya (about 45 min) and get to KC by minibus or Taxi or bus........you can fly to Trat on the mainland from Bkk, then about 20 minutes to the KC ferry.

a little tip for Taxis FROM pattaya to bkk. If you get a bangkok taxi the fair can be as low as 700 baht becuase they need to get back to bangkok anyway. Ive done it for 1000 baht to pattaya from Don muang so I would expect it about 100 bhat cheaper from the new one.

Jon
If you know Pattaya , in Soi Skaw Beach there is a Taxi agent , where BKK taxis sit and wait to see if they can get a return fare back to BKK .

Its always been 800 baht + 60 baht tolls anytime I have used them .

The same agent can organise for you to be picked up at Suwanapoom but its 1000 baht + 60 baht tolls to Pattaya .
