Does anyone know best way to get from Samui to Samet? There are flights from Samui to Pattaya I believe, is this closest airport to Samet?

If time if of the essence, then the Bangkok Airways flight from Samui to Pattaya is the quickest way. The flight actually goes to U Tapao Airport, which is about half way between Pattaya and Ban Phe, which is the little port town where boats depart for Ko Samet. You'll need to get from the airport to Rayong, and then from there the 11 km or so to Ban Phe to catch a ferry.
The last time I checked, the flights were daily, although at different times of the day depending on if its midweek or weekend. The cost was in the 2200 baht range. I hope that helps. Have a good time.
