Does anyone have experience with PADI scuba dive teaching centers in Koh Samui? Any recommendations or warnings would be appreciated. We are planing to be in Samui in July.

Samui dive shops tend to take their pax to Ko Tao or, sometimes, Ko Pha Ngan. If you're looking for a serious stint of diving you're far better off to base yourself on Ko Tao.

As for specific dive shop recommendations, I don't dive, so can't really help, we do though have a story on the dive sites in the Samui archipelago here:
