The southern Gulf has a different wet season to other areas - normally October into Jan - so if this September follows the pattern somewhere on Samui/Phangan/Tao would be the go.
"LUSH BEACH TO CHILL ON" - I would tend to look at somewhere on the east coast of Phangan. See TRAVELFISH'S beach and accommodation reports plus the link in my sigline for info on Thong Nai Pan, Hat Sadet and the beaches between Sadet and Hat Rin.

off to thailand in september wondering which island would have the best weather at that time?...looking for a lush beach to chill on.....
