Does anyone have any suggestions for the above? I'd prefer a white sand beach with some interesting walks in the area, be able to stay in a hut/room next to the sand, and have a choice of restaurants. It must be quiet, hopefully not frequented by the party crowd and accessible by vehicle ( I'm past the stage of walking a long way with a big bag ). 500 bht or under. I've been staying at Than Sadet, which fills all the requirements above, but I miss the sunsets ( I used to stay on Railay till it got too popular and overbuilt ) I'll be going in October, just in case your suggestion closes during the low season.
Thanks for any information

either Haad Yao or Haad Salad fit that bill, with Ao Chaophao running a close third - all three have accommodation for under 500B. If you're looking for specific recommendations on each beach, lemme know.

somtam, thanks for the advice. I've been to Haad Yao, but I'll research the other 2 on the internet. My main requirement is room next to the sand, so I can listen to the waves on the beach as I fall asleep, and see the sea from my hammock during the day.
