arriving into bangkok on the 2nd of November and travelling around vietnam cambodia and thailand could any suggest an itenary or places of interest that we should visit. the only thing the girls want to do is elephant train in chang mai so any suggestions after that would be grateful.

Depending on how long you intend to stay in Thailand you might want to check out these locations. Tham Lod (or Tham Lot) in Northern Thailand for one. The guesthouse with the best knowledge of the area is Cavelodge. As the name of the guesthouse suggests caves and scenery are the big things here.
You also may want to look at Nong Khai in North Eastern Thailand. There are 2 festivals there that you may be able to catch; Loy Kratong and the Chinese Dragons festival. will be in thailand on the 2nd of November going to head to chiang mai then for a couple of days any cheap options of getting to vietnam. do we need a visa previous to entering the country. also can we get out thailand visa at airport. will be flying out of thailand on the 13th of december but will be in vietnam and cambodia then islands in thailand prior to flying out???
