Greetings, All:
My wife and I will be honeymooning in Koh Lanta this December (12/9-12/14). We were wondering whether there are day-trips available by boat to nearby islands, like Ko Kradan and others. we'd love to check out some more deserted/remote beaches and islands, but don't want to pack up shop and move our operations necessarily. Has anyone done this before?

Yep, there are biggish daytrip ferries and speedbaots that do the Trang islands - usually involve Ngai, Kradan, Muk including the fabulous Emerald Cave - you do some pretty good snorkelling and have some beachtime.
There are also trips to Rok Nok and Phi Phi (speedboat - the normal ferries don't give time on Phi Phi).
At the pier in Old Lanta town longtail boat drivers are waiting to take you on trips to the small islands in the bay and further - google Lanta Longtails.
