I know it is the raining season in Koh Phangan. Can anyone tell me how worse is it? Rain all day or shower? Cannot go out for snorkelling? No sun-shine all day? Rough seas?

Hi wailing1,
You'll have some rain, though it will be more occasional showers rather than all day downpours.
The water will be a little cloudy because of the rain, but still ok for snorkelling.
The seas will be choppier.

in my earlier days i used to live on koh phangan: yes it is monsoon time. in particular this means: it will be raining-the occasional shower 2 or 3 times a day-that`s for shure. heavy rain, like cats and dogs, not very likely but a possibility. cloudy, sunshine now and then, the sea rather rough! just a few tourists around,longtermers and expats, the usual suspects. to me,this season was the best. have a nice time
