Hi All..Having planned & saved all year for our 6 wk trip to Thailand feelings are pretty low. We fly from Manchester on 4th dec. with Etihad Airways to our glee & suprise the flight is confirmed...we arrive in Bangkok at 18.45 5th Dec.....we have an internal flight to Phuket booked & paid for with Thai Airways,22.40 5th Dec. but, have being told that No flights wll arrive or depart from Bangkok.....cancelled...Is anyone else receiving this kind of information for the date 5th Dec.??? We dont truthfully kno if we are coming or going..

According to the ABC[Australia] the PAD supporters will have left the two airports by 10am this morning and could be operating normally by midnight tomorrow.Google the Bangkok Post or Nation newspaper as they have upto date informaton.

Extremely unlikely airports will be operating inside a week from today -- there's vast security and systems checks and a clean-up to be undertaken -- there's no way that will be done in 24 hours.
I'd get in touch with Etihad and see if they're rerouted your flight into Phuket, but your domestic flight will not be happening. People are saying THAI will refund unused tickets, so you should be able to get your money back, but that won't help in getting to Bangkok.
