Chang Mai- 1 night then a trek into villages and jungle 3/4 night

Back to bangkok train to Penang/kuala-lumpar to singapore (48hour train) 3 nights there

    Back to KL 2 nights

Back to thailand for the islands- this time to relax and not be touristy 5 nights (hoping to catch full moon)

Back to Bangkok 1 night then fly back!!

    So.................

    1. What have i missed out that i shouldnt miss?

    2. What island? Maybe doing 2 would be nice?!?!

    3. Is this acheivable?

    Island wish list.....

    Relax
    Privacy
Reasonable price- this and the last night in bangkok going to raise budget!
    Beach and snorkel

I know its rainy season!! But i have read the west coast is dryer?!?! Its not a bad time to visit is it?

ANY ADVICE WOULD BE SO GRATEFUL

    Hi Paul,

The obvious questions is why are you looping back and forward?

You could do something like Bangkok -> north thailand -> thai islands -> Penang -> KL -> Singapore then fly back to Bangkok for exit. Would save you a fair amount of transit time.

If it's like this to catch the FMP, then perhaps do north thailand then back to bkk fly to Sg and work your way back up the coast...

August is better on the east coast of Thailand -- not the west -- west will be very wet.

Thanks, well i have looked closer tonight and decided im going to singapore for the sake of it cause you can.

So Bangkok - chang Mai - Islands - Bangkok

Ko Pha Ngan as island? Is there place to relax on this island? OPtion to trip to other islands?

What else could I add in that i shouldnt miss in North Thailand?

    Best place for elephants?

    Tigers?

    SOrry for all the questions!!

Yup, Ko Pha Ngan is most certainly an island -- see the relevant section within the site for stacks more info on it.

You're only allowing 3/4 nights in the north, so I'd say a trek should about fit the bill.

For elephants - you mean in the wild, in rehab centres or wandering down the street -- all three are available!
