    Hi all, first I want to say this is the best Thai forum I've found! this place is pure gold.

    I am heading to Thailand for the first time in 2 weeks and I am hoping to stay on some of the more "undeveloped" islands like Ko Rok Nok, Ko Tarutao and Ko Lipe. I've heard that during monsoon season some islands aren't accessible, are these ones? and if so, are they worth going to during the rainy season? or is the wind/rain too intense.

    Any info is really appreciated.

    Hi saskpacker,

    Welcome to Travelfish -- glad you like the site!

    The islands you mention are argely inaccessible this time of year -- there will be still be occasional boats to Ko Tarutao and Lipe, but most of the bungalows will be closed and the seas will be so rough there's little point in going anyway.

    Take a look at some of the islands out from Trang -- some will still be open this time of year, though again the weather will be pretty poor.

    Thanks somtam, I guess my date with a mouse deer will have to wait! lol
