Hello, Rick from Toronto here. I am heading to Thailand with my wife in about a week, spending a month holiday to celebrate our honeymoon. We are spending most of our time on three islands at the following resorts:
Ko Mak - Big Easy (SW side)
Ko Samui - Secret Garden (Big Buddha beach)
Ko Lanta - Ancient Realm (Northern tip)
We plan to do some diving on each of the islands, we were hoping to get some recommendations regarding dive shops and possibly specific sites that are worth visiting.
Also, any recommendations about places to rent motorcycles or any other general activities you'd recommend on any of these islands would be most appreciated.
Thanks for your help.
Rick

Hi Rick,I have dived off koh mak using a dive shop called koh mak divers. this is a friendly operation run by an english guy and dutch wife.day trips on their boat run out to the marine park nearby.diving was o.k not the most spectacular but still plenty to see.to my knowledge they don't have a website but you can contact them on 66 8 329 777 24.while on koh mak had one of the best pad thai dishes at makathanee resort, excellent lady chef runs the kitchen there.
On Lanta I dived with Lanta diver www.lantadiver.com.this a large swedish run operation and also a 5 star idc centre.very professionally run with quality equipment.we dived koh ha( 5 in thai) islands on one day plenty to see with fabulous corals tropical fish leopard sharks etc.this is a two dive day trip.also dived hin daeng/hin nuang which is a long day due to the distance to travel to get to it.definitely a spectular dive.whale sharks, manta rays and all sorts of large fish.all these places offer a p.u drop off service from where your staying.
regards to samui you are going to have to head to koh tao and dive something like sail rock to make it worth while imho.
Hope this helps any questions ask away

The northern part of lanta is the worst. South is best.
