Several recent threads about the welfare of tigers and elephants and other animals makes me want to mention an animal welfare group in Bangkok called Soi Cats and Dogs -SCAD (formerly Soi Dogs Rescue) .

It's a non-profit group with a mission of animal birth control, education, adoption, and just generally trying to reduce the suffering of the City of Angel's stray animal population.

"Amidst the splendour of Bangkok's temples and on its busy streets, thousands of stray cats and dogs endure a miserable existence. Their plight is largely ignored. At SCAD we aim to change that."

Yes - extermination is NOT the answer - birth control is.

In this vacations I went to the PATA ZOO in Bangkok and this zoo gives the worst treatment ever to the animals, leaving them in Little cages for life and also in the worst condition you can possible imagine, please help the animals by going in to this link in the webs site of PETA Asia http://action.petaasiapacific.com/eacampaign/clientcampaign.do?ea.client.id=110&ea.campaign.id=6583, and sign the petition son this animals can be free and have a real life.
