we flew air asia from bangkok to surat about two weeks ago, with no problems. i'd fly them again. as somtam says, no assigned seats, no onboard free services (not even water), and a low baggage allowance of only 15 kg, but still very good value for the money. just keep in mind that they'll slap on departure tax, insurance, fuel, and other surcharges onto that low fare quote that will increase the ticket price quite a bit. even so, it will likely be cheaper than other air options. hope that helps. regards.

I flew Air Asia to and from Chiang Mai and I'd recommend them, no problem. For the price, I was expecting an old, well past retirement age aircraft and I was very pleasantly surprised at the well-maintained, clean Boeing aircraft. You may raise your eyebrow, but we flew to BKK from TYO on an ancient, well past retirement age Boeing 747 that quite frankly, scared a lot of us on the plane (I was sure the overhead compartment was going to come crashing down on our heads it was rocking so during takeoff and landing). Still, we lived to tell the tale... ;)

Hi
I have found some great deals on flights with Air Asia from Bangkok to Krabi but have never used them. Can anyone advise if they are a good?

I've flown them regularly - no problems. I prefer Nok Air as they have assigned seating, but otherwise, no complaints.
