Hello
I'm a female headed to SouthEast Asia, including Thailand, in a few months, and I will most likely be traveling alone. I wold love some feedback on whether or not it is safe for a female to travel alone. I tend to be very low-key and conservately dressed. Thanks!

I've travelled alone in Thailand for 2 weeks and didn't have any problems. In fact, people were nicer to me, when they found out that I was travelling on my own.
Also, I've lived in Southeast Asia all my life, and it's not as terrible as you see in the news.

Hi bgmidnightwhite,
Welcome to Travelfish!
We lived in Bangkok for aroudn seven years and have found it to be one of the safest places we've ever lived (and travelled) in.
There's loads of women travelling alone, though as it tend to be very easy to meet up with others, you may be alone for less time than you think!
