Hi Guy,
This question was asked fairly recently on the message board under a different thread, so I think with a minimum of effort you'll find those posts and have your answer.
Are you really looking for a dorm-like situation? I ask because here in the states, a dorm bed is usually in the $20 to $25 range. But for that same amount of cash in Thailand, you can get your own upscale room with included bathroom and A/C and hot water and even breakfast. Plus, there are lots of good rooms are available for even less. Hope that helps. Regards.

Private rooms are so cheap there isn't any need for a dorm room!

basically i'm here now and my friends go home tomorrow. As i'll be on my own accommodation won't be as cheap so i thought rather than get a really basic 300 baht private room I might get a nicer dorm for maybe 200 baht? Also I like the idea of a dorm as it might be easier to meet people. Thanks again.
