Can someone advise me if it is possible to take a bus / train from Pattaya to Siam Reap? And if so, how much would it cost? I would like to hear from your experience.

it has some good infomation on how to get to siam reap from thailand

No train connection but you'll have no trouble getting a tourist minibus from Pattaya to the border. From there onwards, see our Bangkok to SR story here: http://www.travelfish.org/feature/71
